About

Portrait of Aadil

I'm Aadil, a designer, educator, and content creator exploring how we keep people at the center of design as technology changes around us.

I've spent 10 years doing research and design at IBM, BMO, and XE, and I teach UX in Toronto Metropolitan University's Master of Digital Media program. But the work I care most about happens outside the job: making things that help people learn, create, and find their place in design.

I share design ideas with more than 6,000 people across Instagram and LinkedIn, and I'm one of ADPList's Top 100 Mentors, with more than 10,000 minutes spent mentoring designers worldwide.

Projects

ADUX Labs

Resources, workshops, and courses for designers, born out of the community and made with care. Everything at ADUX Labs starts with real conversations: when designers keep running into the same challenge, I build something to help.

Design XP

An official Figma Partner. I co-founded Design XP, a 12-week apprenticeship where people new to UX learn by doing, working on real projects with real companies.

Curriculum Design

As an Associate Member of the Yeates School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University, I build curriculum for and teach User Experience Design in the Master of Digital Media program. My courses focus on bringing AI into design practice while keeping the human in the loop, grounded in a holistic approach to design thinking.

What I'm working on now

I'm expanding Aadil.Digital into long-form writing about the intersection of design, technology, and humanity: how the tools we build shape the people who use them, and what it takes to keep the human in the loop. The first essays are coming soon on Substack.
